2026–2027 Season Fees & Financial Structure

Powered by GRIT: Our Club Values & Model

Unlike clubs that carry 12 to 15 players per team to distribute operational expenses, OGVBC strictly limits each team to 10 athletes. This is a deliberate, value-driven investment in our players and the quality of their overall experience:

  • Strict 10-Player Roster Cap: Smaller rosters ensure maximum court time, accelerated skill progression, and direct recruiting exposure. (Note: Playing time is earned and determined by coaching staff based on readiness, performance, and match circumstances; equal playing time is not guaranteed).
  • A Complete Nationals Experience: Every OGVBC team is scheduled to conclude its season at a national championship event (GJNC, GJCC, or AAUs), guaranteeing a complete postseason experience.
  • Dedicated College Recruiting Support: Our Recruiting Director works alongside coaches to provide age-appropriate guidance, recruiting profile tools, and direct college coach communication support.
  • All-Inclusive Uniform Package: Every athlete receives a complete REN uniform suite included in club dues—zero third-party store orders required.

2026–2027 Club Fees & Payment Options

Each OGVBC team operates under its own dedicated budget with 0% processing fees via Zeffy. All payment plans represent the same $6,515 regular-season total ($1,080 Gym Fee + $5,435 Regular Season Dues).

  • Nov 10, 2026 — Gym Fee (All Plans): $1,080.00 due upon offer acceptance.

Select Your Dues Plan (Dec 1 – Apr 15):

  • Option 1 (Pay in Full): Single dues payment of $5,435.00 on Dec 1.
  • Option 2 (Standard Monthly): 5 payments of $1,087.00 on the 1st of each month (Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 1).
  • Option 3 (Semi-Monthly Split): 10 payments of $543.50 on the 1st and 15th of each month (Dec 1 – Apr 15).

Mandatory Team-Specific Assessments (Billed Separately):

  • May 1, 2027 — Qualifier Coach Travel: Billed as a direct pass-through for coach airfare & meal stipends (varies by 15U vs. 16U travel schedule). We estimate that this will be $600 but could be more or less. This is just an estimate to be as transparent as possible.
  • June 1, 2027 — Postseason & Nationals: Billed once postseason event selection, June court space, and travel logistics are finalized (varies by 15U vs. 16U). We estimate that this will be $600 but could be more or less. This is just an estimate to be as transparent as possible.
  • *Nationals is NOT optional for our program. Players who commit to our teams commit and are required to compete at Nationals and pay the May and June fees as part of the 2026-2027 OGVBC full club season package.*

Note: Payment plans are offered solely as a billing convenience and do not alter the full-season financial commitment.

Financial Assistance & Scholarship Program

OGVBC is committed to expanding access to competitive volleyball through our needs-based Scholarship Reserve Pool. Scholarships are awarded strictly on a needs-based model to youth athletes whose families demonstrate financial hardship.

Eligibility is established through either of the following two pathways:

  • Pathway A (Public Assistance Verification): Active enrollment in SNAP, Medicaid / Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP), Free or Reduced-Price School Lunch, or Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA).
  • Pathway B (Income Threshold & Special Hardship): Families not enrolled in public assistance programs may apply by submitting a copy of their most recent Federal Tax Return (Form 1040) demonstrating qualifying income levels, along with a personal hardship statement detailing extenuating circumstances (e.g., major medical expenses, employment loss, single-parent household, or multiple siblings in club sports).

Selection & Administration

  • Objective Blind Review: To ensure absolute fairness and compliance with non-profit governing standards, applications undergo an objective blind review by an independent Selection Committee. All player names, athletic rankings, and team assignments are removed prior to review.
  • Award Terms: Approved awards are applied as direct account credits against regular season dues (no cash disbursements). Recipients must maintain an 80% attendance rate and remain in good standing under the OGVBC Athlete Code of Conduct.
  • How to Apply: Families seeking financial assistance may contact Jessica Martz at jessica.martz@ogvbc.org for confidential application instructions and submission forms. Approved scholarships must be documented in writing before the applicable financial obligation is established.

Financial Policies & Player Commitments

  • Full-Season Financial Commitment: Because OGVBC strictly caps teams at 10 players per roster, accepting a roster position commits the club to fixed, non-recoverable operational expenses. Accepting a spot creates a binding commitment for the full $6,515 regular-season cost plus mandatory assessments (1 May and 1 June).
  • Strict Non-Refundable & No-Withdrawal Policy: All contracted fees are non-refundable and non-pro-ratable. Voluntary withdrawal, scheduling conflicts, relocation, or disciplinary removal do not release families from their contractual financial obligations.
  • Injury & Illness Policy — No Exceptions: Injury, illness, or season-ending medical conditions do not reduce, suspend, or eliminate a family’s contractual financial obligations. Because team expenses are fixed across a strict 10-player model, refunds, credits, or prorated reductions cannot be issued.
  • Late Payments & Financial Standing: Athletes must remain in good financial standing to participate in practices, clinics, or tournaments. Overdue balances may result in temporary suspension from club activities until the account is brought current.
  • Optional Third-Party Sports Tuition Insurance: Families seeking to protect their financial investment against potential season-ending injuries or illness are encouraged to independently explore third-party sports tuition insurance prior to accepting a roster spot.
